7 1/4″ blooms are big and bold and beautiful and grow tall on scapes over 2′ tall in our East Tennessee garden! A good rebloomer, you can expect to see these blooms off and on throughout the season. An early to mid season bloomer, we can typically expect to see these bright, gorgeous blooms in early to mid June here on our zone 7 farm. If you live to our north, you’ll generally see it a few weeks after us. Those of you to our south will see it a couple weeks before we do.
A semi-evergreen variety, this fiery orange beauty can be grown in gardens across the country.
These bold blooms look fantastic with bright yellow or gold and really add sizzle when paired with dark purple.

WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.
BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!
FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.
BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order, you get to choose what you’d like at checkout.

I planted 7 daylilies this year, all from Oakes. 4 have bloomed, Pardon Me has been blooming repeatedly for more than a month now. This has shown some increase, but no flower stalks. Maybe next year…

This is a great plant for a sunny garden; the color does not fade in full sun, the blooms are huge and showy. I have many scapes and lots of blooms – it really brightens up my garden!
