5″ bloom, 26″ tall, Early Season + rebloom, Dormant
Fluffy orange-gold blooms will put a smile on your face every time you see them. Cheery and lovely. An excellent performer around the country – we get good rebloom in our garden.

I love the color of this one. And I was surprised to find it was a double! Not as big as expected, but I’m hoping the blooms will be bigger next year. Grows well in heat and humidity.
This is such an unusual double. Instead of a ruffled center, it looks like a 2nd blossom was placed inside the 1st! And the double form is exceptionally consistent. In fact, I’ve never had it produce anything but double blooms here in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. I give him a 4, only because I’ve struggled a bit finding the right spot for him to produce more of his unique blossoms.
This daylily sent upMORE scapes in October and was still blooming when snow hit Ohio in mid November. The blooms are great, scalloped edges, beautiful yellow. A real trooper, at least in Ohio!
Prester John was a free plant with a daylily order & would not have been one I’d have ordered, BUT! It’s not only sturdy & pretty, it’s also gifting me with Rebloom this year! The first of what looks like seven buds is open today, September 1st, 2011!
I received this plant for free at the festival last year. I was a little disappointed when I got it, but am thrilled now! This lilly produces many blooms and they are simply delightful. The yellow of my plant is much more bold than the picture. Very nice!
I am so thrilled, my Prester John is reblooming today {7/11} and beautiful. I purchased it in 2006 and it has doubled in size. Oakes is the best daylily farm, terrific quanity and quality. I tell all my friends to check out Oakes!!!
A bit more orange than I expected from the website picture. But I love the hose-in-hose double shape. Very charming — especially if you like the “hot” colors.
This daylily was sent to me as a bonus plant and has never failed me. The blooms are vivid yellow-orange and the color holds up well in the hot afternoon sun. I am curruently waiting for 2 more blooms to open. All daylilies are beautiful, but the ones with double blooms are expecially beautiful. This daylily will always have a place my garden.

It’s pretty simple: most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter, dormant varieties won’t work for you; you need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.
We normally include bonus plants equal to about 20% of your order. And these aren’t “leftover” plants, or “whatever we’ve got lying around.” These are the same huge, healthy plants we sell. Just leave the decision up to us— we’ll pick something we know you’ll love!
Daylily Stickers!
After the year we’ve all had, we’re trying to wring whatever joy we can find out of every day— even Tax Day*. So we put our thinking caps on and thought, “What is silly and fun and makes everyone happy?”.
That’s when it hit us: stickers! To make your day brighter, we are offering 13 stickers free with every order today through April 19!!!
Stick ’em on your water bottle, your cooler, your laptop (even your wheelbarrow!) or wherever else you could use a bit of cheery color.
*We know that Tax Day has officially been moved to May 17. Since today is traditionally Tax Day, though, we’re going for it.

A bold bright color and have moved it next to a purple for next years bloom. Bought it at the festival and am glad to have it.
