I have to finally say goodbye to my Carefree Peach daylily. I planted it in a new flower bed along with 6 other Oakes daylilies in the spring. All of the others flourished as Carefree Peach dwindled away. Finally the others were so tall, I decided maybe it needed to be moved perhaps to a spot with more sun. But it continued to die. I decided maybe too much sun and moved the last living fan to a more shady area. Alas, today I see that fan has given up on me.
So I’ll give it a one star rating based on my past experience with Oakes plants. Everything else I’ve bought from them has grown and bloomed the year they went in the ground. Don’t know what happened with this one as all of the others are thriving alongside it.

Wonderful daylily. Looks just like the picture. Bloomed very well the summer after it was planted.

I ordered one plant of Miss Amelia. the free daylily sent was Carefree Peach. I was very thankful to the staff, for choosing such a perfect pairing! I divided my Miss Amelia into single fans, and there were 18 single fans! the Carefree Peach, 16 single fans. I have a large planting of Hyperion on my back wall, but that does not rebloom, so I put all the new daylilies in front of the Hyperion to extend my bloom season. VERY impressed with Oakes, even the divided single fans are blooming very well! thank you!

I think I remember I got this as the freebie. It is wonderful! It blooms abundantly from early summer and is still going strong this year in June. I just planted it last season. I love the delicate peach color, strong blooming, and incredible healthy foilage. This is a great daylily for those who like loads of blooms on a shorter plant.

While not a particularly spectacular bloom, it is very pleasing and pretty. It pairs well with more vivid blooms and is unique in shape and color. We do like it.

A nice daylily, not spectacular, but a pleasing color and a very hardy plant. It does re-bloom for us.
