2 3/4″ blooms are held aloft scapes around 18″ tall in our East Tennessee garden. A mid to late season bloomer, we can typically expect to see this lovely daylily around the mid to late June or early July in our East Tennessee garden. If you are to the north of us, you can expect to see it a couple of weeks after we do. If you are to our south, you can look forward to seeing it a bit before us. A fantastic rebloom allows us to see its bright red blooms off and on until frost.
Classified as a Fragrant daylily, Pardon Me offers a subtle, gentle fragrance to the garden.
Pardon Me is a Dormant daylily which means it grows best in planting zones that have a sustained cold period in winter.

WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.
BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!
FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.
BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order, you get to choose what you’d like at checkout.

This was a bonus plant for me YEARS ago! The bloom size is smaller than most of my other daylilies, but this plant really puts on a show for me and is also a vigorous rebloomer.

Love the abundance of blooms, but wish it were a truer red. This clump divides well and adapts quickly.

Cute little plant with cute little flowers, but I’m not really crazy about the color. Maybe the Pardon Me wine-colored red would look better if it weren’t so close to the vibrant Rooten Tooten Red. Next time I divide the beds, I’ll move those two farther apart, and maybe I’ll like Pardon Me better then.

I also planted Pardon Me with Stella De Oro and the colors look great together. I get a lot of compliments on my daylily bed! I just wish it bloomed as often as Stella so I could see the great combo more often.

Small bursts of red color to brighten the garden. The size and color go nice with Stella d’Oro.
