These spider-type blooms are huge, 7\" yellow brushed lavender with a rich purple band and reach around 45\" tall in our East Tennessee garden. Classified as a daylily of Unusual Form (UFO), these lovely blooms twist and turn upon themselves and look absolutely magical in a light summer breeze.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs a mid to late season bloomer, we begin to see the oh-so-lovely blooms of  Birdwing Butterfly around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBirdwing Butterfly is a dormant daylily.
