3 1/2″ bloom, 20″ tall, Mid Season + rebloom, Semi-Evergreen

‘Vineland L’Uva’ daylily is unique. An excellent rebloomer, we were especially excited to find this one as there aren’t many good reblooming lavender or purple daylilies. Violet lavender blooms with a violet purple band around a yellow throat. Fragrant for additional pizzazz.

Vineland L’Uva Daylily Features:

‘Vineland L’Uva’ daylily is unique. An excellent rebloomer, we were especially excited to find this one as there aren’t many good reblooming lavender or purple daylilies.

3 1/2″ violet-lavender blooms dazzle with a violet purple band around a yellow throat. Scapes reach around 20″ in our East Tennessee garden making it a great fit for the front of the garden border or a container planting.  Fragrant for additional pizzazz.

Vineland L’Uva is a mid season bloomer here in zone 7. We usually see it mid June. Those of you to our north will see it a few weeks after us, and those of you to our south can expect to see it a few weeks before we do.  Semi-evergreen, so it can grow in gardens across the country.

These lavender blooms look especially lovely when planted with yellow or gold daylilies but offers a moody beauty when paired with dark purple or dark daylilies.

HOW TO GROW DAYLILIES: Daylilies are very easy-to-grow. They like a lot of sun and they like a lot of water. For more information on how to care for daylilies, click here.
WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.

BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!

FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.

BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order and are the same huge, healthy plants we sell. Just leave the decision up to us and we’ll pick something you’re sure to love!

ABOUT US: Oakes Daylilies is a family-owned daylily farm that’s been in business for three generations. Our daylilies grow in home gardens, city parks and botanical gardens across the nation– including Hawaii and Canada. We are known in the industry as Daylily Experts and grow over 1000 varieties of daylilies on nearly 70 acres in East Tennessee. But over 50 years ago, we started just like you—with one daylily in a home garden.

  1. Pretty Little Purple

This is a very pretty combination of purples. It has a bright yellow throat with almost a glowing lighter lavender halo around it that blends into a darker purple. It is tiny but beautiful. I live in Long Island zone 7. It didn’t bloom last summer when I first got it but did this summer. Now it is about to rebloom so I can’t wait. It is August 29th and has 4 new buds. It originally bloomed in early July. I only had 2 other daylily varieties rebloom so its not common in my garden so I’m extra happy to have some daylily blooms in September.

What a cute little daylily this is! The pastel purple colors of Vineland L’Uva are reminiscent of Ra Hansen – only in a mini-size. If you’re looking to add a miniature daylily to your garden, then this one should be on your list.
