6″ bloom, 28″ tall, Mid-Late Season + rebloom, Dormant

If you hear a quiet rumble outside, don’t automatically reach for the umbrella. It may just be neighbors talking about ‘Silent Thunder’. These fluffy double blooms are a beautiful soft peach blend and are sure to initiate conversation. Good rebloom and a light fragrance adds to its list of attributes and makes it a definite “must have”. Fragrant.

Although listed as dormant, this variety has been proven to successfully grow  in zones 3-10.

I picked up this daylily at the Oakes Festival in June 2016. I must admit, I would have never picked it from the catalog as I tend to like big, bold and brassy color, however, when I saw it on display, I knew I had to have it. It bloomed in mid-June and and after a short recess, it re-bloomed even more heavily into the end of July. Again, this was just the first year and I am over the moon with my choice. I love the soft yellow color which is beautiful and it creates a calm around the bold colored plants. I would definitely recommend Silent Thunder. It’s a winner!

This daylily came to me in two peices, so I planted them in two seperate places, so it was a little slow to take off, but oh my has it now!! Not sure when I first got it, but think it’s been a couple of years now. Both plants are huge with the most beautiful large; always double flowers, they take your breath away. Mine are not peach, but a kind of pale to medium yellow with a hint of peach maybe? I love them. I would of given it a 10 if it had taken off faster.
