My Malaysian Monarch didn’t start blooming until the end of August – and wow, it was awesome to have such a beautiful daylily blooming so late in the season! The blooms were so big – it was a wonder the scapes didn’t bend in half!

I have had Malaysian Monarch in my garden for 12 years. It is a gorgeous large flower with the wide white water mark and purple/maroon self color. Don’t crowd it and give it a lot of sun and it will be wonderful. It is an old Munson cultivar, but it can still hold it’s own with the best of them and it is hardy in difficult climates like N. Idaho.

This is a stunning daylily! When it blooms, it absolutely commands attention. Mine doesn’t have as many blooms and scapes as some others, and the eye is not exactly as shown, but we eagerly anticipate its appearance. Put this one where it will be seen.

This flower is breathtaking when it blooms as pictured. However mine doesn’t consistantly bloom with large vividly colors. Sometimes it presents small off colored blooms. I would chose another variety.

I ordered this daylilly from Oakes Daylilies two years ago and out of the sixty or more daylilies I have, it is my absolute favorit. The plant performs well and the color and size of blooms are wonderful.

This a nice large daylily with a very large creamy yellow eyezone. The picture shows the true color of the daylily.
