HOW TO GROW DAYLILIES: Daylilies are very easy-to-grow. They like a lot of sun and they like a lot of water. For more information on how to care for daylilies, click here.
WHAT DAYLILIES CAN I GROW: Most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter (like zones 9 and 10), dormant varieties won’t work for you; you’ll need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.

BIG PLANTS! When it comes to daylily plants, bigger is better! All of the plants we ship will be three fans or larger — two or three times (or more) what you might receive from other companies. Larger plants get established faster and bloom more quickly!

FARM-FRESH TO YOU! All of your plants will be freshly dug when you order. The leaves are trimmed and the plants are washed and air-dried. Your daylilies will be out of the ground less than 48 hours before they’re headed your way.

BONUS DAYLILIES: We send free daylilies (we call them “bonus” daylilies) with every order. These daylilies are equal to about 20% of your order, you get to choose what you’d like at checkout.

ABOUT US: Oakes Daylilies is a family-owned daylily farm that’s been in business for three generations. Our daylilies grow in home gardens, city parks and botanical gardens across the nation– including Hawaii and Canada. We are known in the industry as Daylily Experts and grow over 1000 varieties of daylilies on nearly 70 acres in East Tennessee. But over 50 years ago, we started just like you—with one daylily in a home garden.

    Pale Peach with Pink Hue

This is a sweet addition to the garden. It’s stated to be pink, but it’s more creamy peach. Fragrant.

    More peachy than blush pink...

    Genevieve Boller (verified owner)

I would say this daylily is more of a soft peach rather than pink – there’s a good amount of pale yellow in it. It’s hard to truly tell a color online, and colors are also affected by heat and sun. Most descriptions of Lullaby Baby describe it as a very pale blush pink, so that’s what I expected, but it’s definitely more peachy/apricot in my garden. I’m glad I waited for it to bloom before deciding what to pair with it. It looks nice in front of my variegated ginger here in Houston, TX in morning sun, afternoon shade. It’s a very nice, soft color and good for the front of the border because it’s petite. I think it would look good paired with something orange or coral so that’s what I’ll be looking for now. 🙂

New to the world of daylilies, this beauty was not disappointing for my first selection. I’m sure the years to come will not disappoint.

    Almost White

    Janet (verified owner)

This is my second year for this plant and I have it grouped with other pastel—like daylilies. This year, Lullaby Baby bloomed profusely and, though a smaller bloom than most of my other flowers, it presented a nice soft color to the garden. I had some rebloom this year and hope to have more in future seasons.

Excellent daylily! Tons of blooms! A pink sheen over cream.

Even in part shade, even up north here in Massachusetts, they are loaded with buds and blooming very big and lush. They are not “near white”, they are a creamy ,medium buff, great for a little tonal variation in a “white garden”.

This was slow to establish and is prone to petal damage which affects the coloring. When it is doing well, it is a soft sweet pink/lavender with lots of yellow eye.
