I planted this daylily last spring but it didn’t bloom until this spring. It is exactly as the picture shows…just beautiful! I appreciate so much the generous size of all of Oakes daylilies. Their second year’s growth is always a large clump for me. I haven’t been disappointed with any of my purchases.

While I cannot yet attest to the color of this daylily, I am getting an inkling of how vigorous this little beauty is. Planted in early May, it has yet to bloom, but imagine my surprise when I noticed this morning that even though it is not yet blooming, it has already sent up a new division! I can hardly wait to see what this summer and next year brings for Miss Dorothy Lambert. Please do not hesitate to add this daylily to your collection, especially if you like the pink tropical colors. you will not regret it.

I bought this plant about five or six years ago and I will never regret it! So far, it is my favorite daylily of all. The color is a blend of peach and pink, very tropical looking! Mine is a very robust plant, it flowers for 6 to 7 weeks, starting around early June into July. This year though, I kicked myself in the butt for allowing overhead water to get on the beautiful blooms which gives them a spotted look. It’s OK, they only last a day, right? It gets very hot in California’s central valley, and we rarely, if ever, get rain during the summer. This year, I installed a drip irrigation system to water my day lilies, that way, they don’t muck up the blooms! A really beautiful daylily, great color.

It IS as beautiful as the picture here…..I’d describe it as a “watermelon” kind of color, very unique. One of my favorites!

I bought this daylily from Oakes last fall and planted it immediately. Although I had to wait for it to bloom (I didn’t see much happen until late July), the wait was totally worth it! The flowers are just as described – – an unusual and striking “tropical” pink unlike any I’ve seen. Dorothy Lambert is gorgeous! If possible, I would have given it an “11.” I’ve already ordered more!

I planted this plant only a year ago, and this year the size and continuous bloom are amazing!!! Did I mention the luscious color? The tall size is perfect to grace a birdhouse. Love it.

This is one that looks different depending on the conditions ea. year. This year, mine looks exactly like the picture. Stunning color – tropical, floppy, & glows. Also, looks good picked & laying on a table.

An absolute stunner! The coral-pink color is gorgeous; looks just like the photo. I can’t wait for next season when it multiplies even more!

Oh my, what can I say but this was one of the most unique colors I have seen in a daylilly! I love it!!! The blooms were huge and just kept coming. It did not seem to fade at all. It bloomed later in the season but was so worth the wait. And mine too was true to the picture. WOW! Am anxious to see it bloom this year with many more flowers.
