5″ bloom, 24″ tall, Early Season + rebloom, Semi-Evergreen
One of our most popular daylilies, ‘Blushing Summer Valentine’ has clear pink blooms with a raspberry eye and edge. Starts blooming early in the season and reblooms heavily about a month later. Fragrant.
In 2020, I ordered 3 of these and they did not bloom at all…. then in 2021, Oakes sent me 3 more as a Bonus on my order…. I wasn’t happy to receive 3 more of what didn’t bloom the year before, but I was wrong….. the original ones were planted in not enough sun….. I moved them and also planted the 3 they sent me in 2021…… All 6 are blooming beautifully and profusely….. I was totally wrong on this one…. and highly recommend this variety….
These started blooming in March and are still blooming, I planted them in a tire facing south. The tire is full of them and hanging over the side. They will need to be divided in September and I I can’t wait to make a bigger patch of them.
Blushing Summer Valentine has always been one of my favorite daylillies. This year they really put on a show. The pink flowers with the dark centers were absolutely gorgeous. These daylillies did well on the south side of the house in Plano TX. I highly recommend.
I have a lot of daylilies, almost too many, if there is such a thing, but blushing summer valentine sparkles. She is in a front bed on the west side and she flourishes there, bobbing and smiling at the neighbors as they pass! This daylily has been blooming since April. She loves her place and we love her!
I have learned to love the dependable bloomers and this is a lovely one. It’s thriving here in hot, humid Southeast Texas and has been for the last several yrs. It’s become one of my favorites
Absolutely stunning! I planted a grouping of three plants and they bloomed profusely for over a month.
The color is much more vibrant that shown in the catalog. One of my favorites.
I purchased this daylily from Oakes a few years ago and I am very pleased with it’s performance. It looks just like the photo in the catalog and multiplies nicely. Last year I even had it rebloom here in northern Michigan.
Oakes sent me this daylily last year as a “bonus” plant, and it certainly is! Very, very prolific bloomer, with several blooms on each scape open at one time, which makes for a wonderful display! Buy it, you won’t be sorry.
This was a bonus plant. It is one of my favorites. Color is the same as the picture- very attractive. I planted it in a somewhat shady location and it still did well the first year. Probably would have more blooms in full sun.
A truly beautiful flower. The color is every bit as good as the photo indicates, in fact, they may be better than the photo. They just finished their first bloom and are starting to go into spike again. I would highly recommend this daylily to anyone.

It’s pretty simple: most of you can grow any of the daylilies we sell. If you live in an area with a sustained cold period like we do in East Tennessee, you can grow all the varieties. However, If you live in an area that doesn’t get freezing weather in the winter, dormant varieties won’t work for you; you need to choose evergreen or semi-evergreen varieties.
We normally include bonus plants equal to about 20% of your order. And these aren’t “leftover” plants, or “whatever we’ve got lying around.” These are the same huge, healthy plants we sell. Just leave the decision up to us— we’ll pick something we know you’ll love!

This was a gift from my husband several years ago. It’s grown well and now is in several places in my yard. Beautiful.
