A beautiful mid season bloomer, we typically see it in here in zone 7 around the middle of June. If you are to our north, you’ll begin to see it a few weeks after we do. If you live to our south, you’ll likely see it a couple of weeks before us. Good rebloom ensures we get to see brilliant orange in the garden off and on throughout the season.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOrange Vols is a dormant variety which means it is best grown in gardens that get a sustained cold period in the winter, like those in zones 2-8.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe love this daylily paired with anything but it looks great when paired with yellow or gold, hot pink or purple. We, of course, love it especially when planted with near white daylilies. If you live to our south, you’ll see them a couple of weeks before us.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA dormant variety, Carpenter’s Choice is best grown in gardening zones 3-8 as it needs a sustained cold period in the winter in order to be successful.
